Don Krohn, Security Officer for First National Bank Alaska discusses check fraud and why it is on the rise – even in Alaska. In the program, images of checks that were “washed” are shown and Mr. Krohn discusses what individuals can do to avoid having their checks altered or “washed” by fraudsters. He details how fraudsters conduct searches as they try to steal the identity of potential victims. Ann Secrest of AARP Alaska conducts the interview.
